GUITAR FOR SINGERS AND ARTISTS
Play the songs you love. Accompany your own voice. Bring your ideas to life.
Guitar lessons at Melodies Voice Academy are designed for singers, songwriters and developing artists who want the instrument to serve the music they actually want to make.
Â
Whether you dream of accompanying yourself onstage, writing original songs or simply feeling more independent as a musician, we will help you build practical guitar skills around your voice, your goals and your artistic identity.
Ages 10-Adult
YOUR GUITAR SHOULD SERVE THE SONG
Traditional guitar lessons often begin with a preset sequence of exercises and songs. At MVA, we begin with you.
What do you want to sing?
Your lessons connect essential guitar technique to real musical use. You will learn how chords, rhythm, keys and song structure work while applying them to music that matters to you.
This is not guitar as a separate subject. It is guitar as part of your complete artistic toolkit.
What kind of artist do you want to become?
Where would greater instrumental freedom take you?
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN
ACCOMPANY YOURSELF
Build the chord vocabulary, strumming patterns and coordination needed to sing and play at the same time.
WRITE AND DEVELOP SONGS
Use the guitar to discover chord progressions, shape song sections, explore melodies and turn unfinished ideas into complete songs.
UNDERSTAND THE MUSIC
Learn how keys, chords, transposition, capos, rhythm and common song forms work—without separating theory from the music you want to perform.
CREATE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS
Move beyond copying a recording note for note. Learn how to choose patterns, textures and chord voicings that complement your voice and communicate the song.
PERFORM WITH CONFIDENCE
Prepare to use the guitar in auditions, open stages, showcases, worship settings, songwriting rooms, recording sessions and live performances.
