Questions before you begin?
A few things adult singers often want to know before taking the first step.
Do I need previous singing experience?
No. MVA works with adults who are brand new, returning to singing after a long break, or already performing. Training is tailored to your voice, experience, and goals.
What happens during the Voice Assessment?
We’ll hear your voice, talk about what you want from it, identify strengths and areas for growth, and create a personalized recommendation for your next step.
What if I’m nervous or haven’t sung in years?
That’s completely okay. Many adult singers come in feeling rusty or unsure. The session is supportive and conversational — not an audition and not something you need to prepare for.
Do I have to enroll after the assessment?
No. You’ll leave with a clear recommendation and can decide what feels right for you. There is no long-term commitment.
What kinds of goals can we work on?
Adult singers come to MVA for stronger technique, more confidence, contemporary styles, performance, songwriting, audition preparation, or simply a better relationship with their voice.
